Not Intent On Arriving is a travelblogue of motion, past and present. Following Lao Tzu's wisdom that "a good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving," I try to celebrate all the journeys in my life. So far, I've recorded eleven overnight trips, along with a variety of weekend trips, and I hope to post more about past trips, and future ones here as well. Along the way, though, this became more than simply a place to record my travels, and is now a location for my daily wanderings, wonderings and savorings. Things are busy lately, and I don't record nearly as much as I wish I could, but in between moments of travel and inspiration, I try to follow this schedule:
Weekend Wanderings: On Mondays, I post a recap of the previous weekend's goings-on. If something particularly interesting happened during the week, I'll mention it here as well, but most interesting things happen to me during my leisure hours two days a week.
Gratituesdays: In an attempt to see and appreciate my own privilege, I try to spend Tuesdays in gratitude for the things that matter most.
For a while, I wrote Worlds of Wonder on Wednesdays. Now I mostly write Cooking with Kristin, where I share recipes and cellphone-camera pictures of food.
Life List: I'm always trying to do new things and improve myself, so in 2006, I started a list of things I wanted to try before I die. It's a work in progress, I don't write on it every week, but when I do, it's usually on Thursdays.
This Moment: Inspired by Amanda Soule, Friday posts are a single image from the week, with no words, capturing a moment.
